Cafe Racer Kits
Cafe Racer Kits Triumph
No, not plastic model kits, but real life size motorcycles that can be built from a kit. Following the format used successfully by the kit car industry, you supply the donor motorcycle and Cafe Racer Kits provide all the parts needed to transform it. All the kits come with a build manual for you to follow, and it all bolts together. You don’t need to be able to weld, work with fibreglass or be proficient in metal bashing. You just need to be able to follow the instructions and wield the spanners.
Cafe Racer Kits Honda
Currently, kits are available for the CX500, CB250/400N (1978 to 1984) and Triumphs (750/900 triples, 1000/1200 fours from 1991 to 1996). There is a lot of information on their website detailing the most suitable donor models.
CRK also offer a neat conversion kit for Honda Comstar wheels, allowing spoked rims to be fitted.
Cafe Racer Kits Red and White Triumph
Kits are split into modules. For all of CRK’s bikes, the modules can either be purchased individually or as a complete kit (purchasing a complete kit usually gets you a bit of a discount). The Triumph models have a base kit of four modules (subframe, footrests, tank and seat) and many other add ons that can be used to tailor the bike to your own specification. All kits will still require you to source your own silencers, indicators, tyres etc. Again CRK can help you out here, with a selection of ancillary components available from the webshop.
